Starting 2010 Contest Changed to “The Monthly Fish Contest”
The contest rules are as follows:
· The contest is open to all SWC members in good standing whose membership is paid BEFORE the submitted walleye is CAUGHT.
· The photo submitted for the contest must clearly show the entire walleye either lying on top of or next to a measuring device that CLEARLY displays the overall length of the fish showing the head at the start of the measuring device and the tail at the final length. The fish should be measured with the mouth closed and the tail pinched to get the most accurate measurement possible.
· The walleye in the photo MUST have been caught by the member submitting the photo. No photos will be accepted by members or non-members submitting photos of fish caught by members not present at the monthly meeting.
· Members can enter only one photo per month.
· The photo can only be submitted for the current contest month. A contest month begins the day after each regularly scheduled meeting and will end at the start at the following regularly scheduled meeting. If no meeting is scheduled for that month, there will be no Monthly Fishing Contest for that month.
· The winning member that has been drawn among all entrants in each month MUST provide information and answer questions from members about catching the winning fish. This is to fulfill the mission statement of the club that details our purpose which is to help our members become better walleye anglers.
· Each member can win a maximum of two times per calendar year.
· Members can submit a photo each month until they win two times.
· Members can enter a big fish entry every month. If they have won two drawings they can still enter the big fish portion of the contest.
· Only the member catching the big fish can enter the fish in the big fish portion of the contest.
· In the event of no entries for a given month, no drawing for a payout will be given. The $50.00 prize may be added to the following month if the membership present votes to do
